My Babysitters a Vampire - The Movie(2010)

Aaron is a high school jock with a promising future. But on his 18th birthday, his life forever changes when his incredible powers emerge, revealing the terrifying truth of his identity. In the autumn of , in Northern Italy, the German soldiers resist to the advancement of American forces in an Italy divided in fascist soldiers, communist partisans supported by the civilians and thugs. An American platoon led by Sergeant Malone is assigned to deliver supplies to the front. Meanwhile, the German Lieutenant Gunther tries to keep the morale and discipline of his needy soldiers, and faces many other problems when the Italian troop leaded by the aristocratic Lieutenant Gianini joins his doomed troop.

The thugs leaded by Rossini act like vultures, plundering the remains after the battles. I rented this film based on my general enthusiasm for movies covering the stark subject of war. This was a very different film than any other WW2 film I've seen, and I think for the better. As we can probably assume with all fairness, not every soldier or unit in Europe during this conflict was fighting at the front. The uniqueness of the historical situation in this region during the war provides that distinct difference between this film and others in the genre.

It's not one huge battlefield scene after another or a storming the beaches extravaganza. There's no massive divisions.

These units are the forgotten groups of soldiers from their respective armies, two of which were in their last days. Their importance in the grand scheme of the war is minor as the story told here is more common. They really do develop, change, and become something different than they started as. After watching the special features "making-of" documentary on the DVD, it's amazing the movie ever happened.

None of the actors were the professionals you'd expect. Hell, one of them does character work for birthday parties. Another works at a fish market.

I strongly suggest anyone who rents this film watches the making-of as you'll have a much greater level of appreciation for what went into the movie. Overall, I thought it was a decent film for what it is. I think you have to take into consideration the level of experience each actor and staff member possessed at the time. This isn't a Hollywood production by any means.

But it was indeed an awesome effort by amateurs that does an excellent job of looking far bigger than it was. I have to give the makers and participants of "The Fallen" a lot of credit for their efforts. It may be because my Intel HD but it had slow mouse and "intro animation" felt weird. I love the work you are doing.

Its a very good lesson to learn and a good message to teach. As an American I spend every single day giving my money away to those that will use it to kill innocent people for nothing more than resources, land, and profit. I find myself depressed and feeling guilty every single day of my life, I just wanted to say, this game did not leave much of an impact on me as I feel I am one of the few that already understands what your message is, however it brought a tear to my eye to see others who have the same understanding.

Thank you. Honestly, it's comments like this, that make me realize that making this sort of games actually makes sense. Very much appreciated.

Thank you so much. Wow, this is pretty neat. Kinda touching to me. I don't have any suggestions for this one. Just good job on what you made so far. Thanks for the great feedback! Since this is just a demo that we made in a bit more than a week, we are very happy to receive such suggestions and will certainly consider them, when we take up the project again. There's no proper ending yet, it's just a demo. Currently, there's a certain chance you get hit by a artillery shell, that increases with every person killed. Wow, this is really weird. That was a different experience for me, I hope I understood the concept.

It reminded me of the stalker games but when I realised what the gameplay was like it changed my opinion.

First of the Fallen

As it is a prototype I would be happy to play this again when the full version is done. If you put this on the Gamejolt website I will be happy to vote for it. Could you clarify for me, the stories told are they true stories of real people or fictional for the game? Thanks for the Let's Play, very much appreciated.

The stories are indeed based on the lives of those who have died in the conflict. Names were changed however and some details swapped around and slightly altered to fit them into the short texts. The First came into contact with John Constantine himself in Ireland, where the demon attended the death of an alcoholic who had sold his soul in exchange for the greatest collection of wine in the world. Constantine was also visiting his friend, trying to find a magical cure for his terminal lung cancer, and delayed the First in claiming the soul by tricking him into drinking holy water.

The Shadow Peace

This invoked a clause in the contract allowing the alcoholic's soul to go to heaven because it wasn't collected by midnight. The First decided to exact his revenge on Constantine once his cancer claimed his life - but when he came to claim the soul that was his "by right of insult", he found that Constantine had managed to sell his soul to both the Second and the Third of the Fallen. In order to prevent all out war over who would claim the soul, the triumvirate were forced to cure the magician's cancer and save his life; their meager consolation was to do this in the most painful manner imaginable.

This only served to increase the First's lust for revenge against the mortal who had bested him. Things only went worse as the First discovered that Constantine had a spy in hell, the succubus Ellie. In trying to punish the demon, the First was again bested by Constantine, which invoked an ancient law that a demon bested three times by a mortal would receive their torment instead.

The First, being the most powerful being in hell at time, declined to receive Constantine's destined torment, but it didn't improve his disposition towards the magician.

Biographical Information

The First took this vendetta against Constantine extremely seriously: he once spent twenty years making nightly visits to a priest in an asylum, tormenting him to suicide simply to show Constantine the kind of torment that was awaiting him. The priest was pushed over the brink by hearing the First's confession that he had seen for himself that God was insane and so acted against His will.

The First continued to brood over Constantine, until he discovered the true nature of his "brothers" in the triumvirate. Realising that although they might be powerful, they ultimately shared the weaknesses of other demons, he destroyed them both and set about claiming Constantine's soul. Unfortunately, the whole plot turned out to be a long-con arranged by the magician: the First of the Fallen was killed by the succubus Ellie, wielding a knife made from the remains of the Second and Third of the Fallen.

Instead of true death, however, the First was reincarnated as a Greek fisherman named Theo whilst retaining his memories of his previous existence. He grew close to defeating Constantine with the help of a demon named Buer , but although the First was restored to his previous life and position the magician still managed to escape damnation through more sneaky trickery.
