Once at the ranch in North Dakota, she learned that her uncle had not only sold the ranch to them, but had also given them control of the money he'd left her. She hated being dependent on them and learning that her ex-husband headed toward them, she planned her escape. Sam Taylor and Carson Wells had no intention of letting her leave. They'd heard her uncle's suspicions about her abuse, but seeing it enraged them and they vowed to not only protect her, but keep her and her daughter at the ranch where they belonged.
Falling in love with her was easy, but teaching her to trust in that love proved difficult, especially when she'd known only the pain from a man who still posed a threat. A threat Sam and Carson wanted very much to meet head-on. Never used! This item is printed on demand. Published by Siren-BookStrand, Incorporated. Send someone of a different nationality to Desire to find love. Send a couple looking to add to their triad Raw Desire wasn't unenjoyable I just though it could have been much better and different. Feb 02, Oleta Blaylock rated it really liked it Shelves: e-books.
I loved Dillon and Ryder. What I wouldn't give to find a pair of hot dominant males that were as loving and compassionate as these two. I love Desire and wish that there was a town that was this way I move in a heart beat. I also enjoyed seeing so many of the characters from prior books. It is nice to see how their lives are going. I had to laugh at Erin. She is like the spitfire. I would definitely recommend this entire series. These two moved to Desire so they could share a woman and make a family.
They have waited patiently for Alison to make an appearance in their lives. Alison, of course, has no idea that the two men that will fulfill her every fantasy are waiting for her in Desire, Oklahoma. It takes a broken down truck needing a tow to bring these three together. Alison is running from an ex-boyfriend that is threatening her. Alison Bennett has been through hell the last year or so. Her ex-boyfriend pushed her down a set of stairs and broke her hip.
He has been threatening her to keep her from testifying. He is a royal pain in the ass. Alison just wants to attend a few seminars at Lady Desire so she can learn to bring a man to his knees with all her newly learned sexual skill. She is completely unprepared for Dillon Tanner and Ryder Hayes. She finally makes a deal with the two very hot men to teach her how to please them. My biggest problem with Alison is that she can be more than a little passive aggressive. She runs sizzling hot then icy cold. Dillon and Ryder I liked very much. They are both dominant males with Dillon being the more dominant of the two.
These two own the auto repair garage in Desire. They have built up the business over the years that she has lived in town.
They have played at The Club hoping that they will find the woman that will complete their family. He is the hardest one to convince that Alison is the woman for both of them. Dillon knows almost immediately that Alison is the right woman. Dillon is a gentle, patient man that has a dominant streak that thrills Alison down to her toes. There are times that I wanted to take Alison over my knee and spank her.
She can be so irritating. It was nice to see some of the previous characters involved in this story. They man that has been causing trouble around Desire is finally caught in this story. I am glad that Alison was able to make her ex-boyfriend pay for the abuse she suffered. As with the earlier books there are some really hot love scenes throughout this story. There is also bondage, spanking, and anal playing all through the story. Mar 07, di9girl rated it liked it. Ok I thought Hope was nuts previous book. Alison is way worse. So many times I nearly gave up. How those men didn't I don't know lol!
Jul 12, Guilty Pleasures Book Reviews rated it really liked it Shelves: publishersent , guiltypleasures-slick. Slick's review posted on Guilty Pleasures 3. Dillon and Ryder take an immediate interest in her much to her dismay. I wish I could say I liked Alison and while I can certainly understand her trust issues and sympathize with her, I found myself wanting to tell her to wake up and see the goodness in front of her.
She likes Dillon from the get go but her mixed messages frustrated me as much as they did him. Trust me there is a lot more to Ryder than meets the eye.
Dillon and Ryder set out to prove over and over that they were trustworthy and wanted nothing but good things for her but time and time again she compared them to her scumbag ex-boyfriend. Dillon and Ryder through it all remain patient, kind, understanding, and loving.
Despite my feelings towards Alison, I think she is good for them and I know they are good for her. That being said, I did enjoy this book. I loved how the town embraced Alison, something she needed very badly. I especially enjoyed her scenes with all the women from the town who quickly brought her into their circle, patiently answered her questions, and helped her understand the town and why the men act they way they do.
Because I do love series books, I always appreciate these scenes because they allow us to catch up with previous characters. Leah did an excellent job of weaving in the previous couples along with people whose stories have yet to be told and build the anticipation for their stories. Alison breaks down on the road into Desire, OK with a painful past and an even more broken spirit.

In Desire, she hopes for a haven in which to recoup, time to make a plan, and a chance to rebuild her self-esteem. She gets all that plus more than she bargains for when she catches the eye of garage owners and best friends, Dillon Tanner and Ryder Hayes.
Life in Desire is far from typical small town, USA. Thanks to a prequel to the current Desire series we know that the town was literally founded by two men and a woman who wanted a place to live together as a family, without scorn or prejudice. In Desire, the men are strong but the women are their strength. On the surface the story seems to be primarily about Alison needing help and healing.
As far as I know, Ms. Brooke never worked as a writer for the show But she could have! Brooke builds tension and excitement into her relationships.
Raw Desire [Desire, Oklahoma 6] (Siren Publishing Menage Everlasting)
The mark of a brilliant series and a truly talented storyteller is when the characters speak to the readers almost as much as they speak to the author. Brooke is that talented of a writer and her unique stories and the fantastical town they live in come alive in the pages of this book as well as the six including the prequel that preceded it. Originally posted on my site here. I mean did I like it? Did I love it? Was it fun to read?
Was it as good as the first few books in the series? Not at all, but should I be comparing? I love the idea of this town and all the caring people in it. I love it. They were typical Desire, Oklahoma characters. I loved them both. Ryder got a little whiney in one area but then it seemed to disappear with no explanation. Dillon seemed to be the only stable one from start to finish knowing exactly what he wanted. I expected Ryder and Alison to hash out what his little issue was, but it never did come up again in the book.
That was a little frustrating, but other than that small detail these guys were great. Her whole back-story was crap in my personal opinion. So, the end result is that it was a little better than okay, but not great. I really like the concept of these books, the town of Desire, and the way they live their lives.
Boy, wish it were a real town, I'd go visit and hopefully stay. With this one I had a bit of trouble even liking the h. I found her to be quite annoying and a bit of a skitzoid. I do like this author normally, but I don't think she's got the feisty h down pat, she struggles with that as her hs can come across as quite unlikeable at times.
It's happened in previous books. The author tends to make you I really like the concept of these books, the town of Desire, and the way they live their lives. The author tends to make you feel sympathy for the h because of the situation she is in, rather than because you like the actual person. It makes it hard to get a connection with them. I also had a bit of trouble with the start of the book, the way the two Hs treated the h. They did settle down in time and I grew to like them, but there was just something missing from the story.
It's like there were so many sex scenes in the middle it was padding. I know, lots of sex, it's erotica, but I like a bit of story with my sex and it just seemed there was little story and just sex, which became a bit boring. There are a lot of books just like this one and without a good premise and story, they all seem a little the same. You really can only have sex so many different ways, and you need to have a good story to hang it all on.
Anyway, I'll keep reading the menage Desire books not so fussed on BDSM as I like revisiting the residents of Desire and it looks like there are plenty of other stories to be had in this town, lots of characters still to have their story. There were a couple of bits in this book that I hope are being followed up in new stories to come, such as Nat seeming to be not happy. Don't know what that was about, it was mentioned very briefly, but never followed through, so I'm assuming it is a story to come in future books? I think these books need to come a bit faster as well.
I find it a bit annoying she's writing other stuff which seems like not so good stuff to keep us on the hook till another Desire book comes out. I wish she'd just get on with it. I feel like she's risking people moving on. Lots of mentions of other characters with obvious stories to come, so just get on with it already. If I have to wait too long, I'll just move on myself. I have enjoyed this series a lot. However, this one is my least favorite of the series so far. The heroine, Alison, seemed a little strange to me.
There was something about her that bothered me. As a victim of abuse from a previous boyfriend and falsely accused of committing a crime, she decides that the answer to her problems is to run away to Desire and take a seminar on how to please a man in bed. Say what??????
Throughout the whole book, the heroes, Dillon and Ryder, are trying to help her, I have enjoyed this series a lot. Throughout the whole book, the heroes, Dillon and Ryder, are trying to help her, treat her right, and end up falling in love with her. Yet, it takes her till the end of the book to figure out she can stay with them.
Raw Desire: Alison's Awakening (More Desire, Oklahoma 6) on Apple Books
She was just a little tooooo, well She fought them the whole time when she desperately needed their help and when she was falling in love with them too. All that resistance just seemed needless, and it dragged on too long. Many readers like this series for the sex scenes, right? Leah Brooke can write some smokin' sex scenes and that pattern isn't any different in this book than in others she has written. But I found myself skimming the sex in order to get to the part where the story moved forwardthe part when Alison actually TALKS to Dillon and Ryder and get things straightened out with them and with her life.
The whole book could have been written in half the pages if some of the sex scenes were deleted and nothing would have been lacking in the story. In spite of the above complaints, this is Leah Brooke's Desire series. It's a great saga about a town where all the men are hot and the women who love them are pampered and cherished.
I still recommend reading this book if you like menage marriage stories. It was an overall pleasant read, even not to be missed if you are already a fan of this series. Jul 11, Adriana rated it liked it Shelves: contemporary , menage-mfm , romance , m-f , e-book , erotica , reviewed , bdsm-light , kobo. Raw Desire by Leah Brooke I gave this story 2. I read this series back to back and that can be a good thing and a bad thing in some ways. Good I remembered all the characters, their personalities and stories. This became a world fully flushed out in my mind.
There was no need to go back to previous books to familiarize myself with the past doings. Each new story also showed glimpses of past characters and showed me how they are doing in their lives.
